GUERMESSA
Guermessa is a mountain ruined Berber village along the hilltop to the west of Tataouine. It stretched across two peaks connected together with a narrow causeway. Interestingly, locals’ houses spread over the hills and are always freshly aired. Building up in the mountain, with the mountains as part of the houses made them cooler, and at the same time the mountains also protected the inhabitants from villains.
